A Little About Me...
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (license #201348) with a practice in Lewisville, Texas. I provide individual, couple, group, and family counseling, specializing in treating relationship issues, sex addiction and trauma.
I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Brigham Young University in 2004 and went on to receive my Master’s degree in Human Development and Family Science, with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy, from Oklahoma State University in 2007. I have received intensive training in each of my specialty areas.
I have worked in conjunction with the Oklahoma Marriage Initiative, taught marriage enrichment classes, and conducted premarital assessments. I am certified to give the PREPARE/ENRICH assessments which help couples identify and strengthen growth areas in the relationship.
I am a Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist (CSAT) with Patrick Carnes' International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP). Additionally, I have received training with LifeSTAR of Dallas, a specialized treatment program for sexual addiction issues for addicts and their spouses, and I worked with Sante Center for Healing, a treatment center providing inpatient, transitional living and IOP services for those with addictions.
I acquired training in trauma and inner child work through Pia Mellody’s Post Induction Therapy Training (PITT). I am also EMDR, Level 1 & 2, trained.
I am a member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT) and Texas Association for Marriage and Family Therapists (TAMFT). When I am not providing therapy, I enjoy traveling, trying new recipes, doing home projects, finding good shopping deals, spending time
with family and friends, reading, and working out.
